Meet Hollis!
Some birds capture your heart with quiet sweetness. Hollis does it with confidence, curiosity, and a personality that's impossible to ignore.
Hollis is a bold little lady who knows exactly who she is. She's usually the first to greet you, the first to investigate something new, and certainly the first to stroll over and accept a treat from your hand. Curious by nature and confident in spirit, she approaches life with a refreshing sense of assurance that makes her endlessly charming.
While she's outgoing, Hollis is also wonderfully respectful and honest. She isn't afraid to communicate her boundaries, and she does so with grace and sass. If she's had enough or would rather admire you from a comfortable distance, she'll let you know in her own polite way. She values mutual respect and thrives with people who appreciate that trust is built through listening as much as loving.
Despite experiencing abandonment and difficult circumstances in her past, Hollis has never lost her bright spirit. She has shown remarkable resilience and an incredible willingness to trust again. Every act of kindness, patience, and consistency has been met with appreciation, making her a truly rewarding companion.
Hollis enjoys the company of others and would do wonderfully in a home with other gentle birds. She also coexists peacefully with calm, respectful dogs and cats when given a safe bird-only space for playtime. Gentle, supervised school-aged children who understand how to respect her boundaries would make excellent companions.
Hollis's Favorite Things
Music
Hollis enjoys all the genres of music or even a good podcast.
Snack Time
Fresh leafy greens and a sprig of millet are guaranteed to earn her enthusiastic approval—and she'll likely be the first in line when treats are offered.
Bath Time
A gentle misting is one of Hollis's favorite indulgences and leaves her feeling refreshed, happy, and ready to fluff up those beautiful feathers. Often, you can find Hollis approaching other birds asking for a nice preening.
Her Ideal Home
Daily out-of-cage time in a safe, enclosed room.
Would happily share her home with other gentle birds, but likes to have her own space.
Calm, respectful dogs and cats are welcome companions.
Gentle, supervised school-aged children are a wonderful fit.
A peaceful home where kindness, consistency, and mutual respect are part of everyday life.
Hollis is wonderfully tidy and well-mannered. She uses the same bathroom areas consistently, isn't one to throw seeds or create unnecessary messes, and enjoys stretching her wings in a clean, spacious room during her daily free time.
A Heart Ready for Home
Hollis isn't looking for perfection—just a family who will appreciate her confident personality, respect her voice, and love her for exactly who she is. In return, she'll fill your home with cheerful chatter, quiet companionship, and the unmistakable joy that comes from earning the trust of a bird who chooses to be your friend.
If you're looking for a companion with a brave heart, excellent manners, and just the right amount of sass, Hollis may be the missing feather in your family.
After everything she's overcome, she deserves a forever home
