Shrimp and Bran Muffin - Mini Lop Rabbit for Adoption in Seattle, Washington

SHRIMP AND BRAN MUFFIN

Mini Lop
🇺🇸
Seattle, Washington
July 14th
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

NOTE: This is a courtesy posting--these bunnies are still with its owner, who is looking to re-home them. We will pass your adoption application to them and they will contact you directly.

We need to re-home our 4-year old female mini-lops (bonded pair), TIGER SHRIMP and BRAN MUFFIN.

Both are:
- spayed
- litter box trained
- up-to-date on vaccinations and wellness checks

Shrimp (calico) and Muffin (brown) are sweet gentle bunnies who get along great with kids and cats. Tiger Shrimp is more adventurous and affectionate, while Bran Muffin is a little more shy. They absolutely adore one another and spend the majority of the day snuggled together, which is just too darn cute!

Bran Muffin weighs 4.2 lbs and Tiger Shrimp weighs 5 lbs. Both are healthy. We should note that Bran Muffin has misaligned front teeth that need trimming every couple of months. For that reason, she doesn't favor eating hay, but does enjoy soft lettuce/herbs, Oxbow pellets, and veggies that are shredded or finely chopped. (She especially loves the shredded carrots from Trader Joe's!)

We would request a re-homing fee of $100, but can provide all the necessary supplies to help make them a cozy space in your home: litter box, hay dispenser, gate, washable pads, pet carrier, and a full bag of Oxbow pellets. We can also give you their 5x7 washable rug and a collapsible bunny tunnel they enjoy hiding in, if your space will allow for it!

WE ADOPT TO INDOOR HOMES ONLY. There are simply too many dangers outside for a rabbit to thrive and survive. You are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your house rabbit, and they should be treated as an integral part of the family. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your rabbit and instructed on proper approach and handling.

Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion and need daily interaction with their human friends. They need room to play and have the freedom to run around a large area. Rabbits should be fed unlimited hay, a little high-quality hay pellets, and a fresh leafy green salad.

We do have strict housing requirements. We do not adopt to home with rabbit cages or hutches. See our website for more information. The housing area needs to be at least 4 x 4 floor space.

Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and annual vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old.

Our adoption fee is $70 for a single and $130 for a pair (this helps us cover part of their spay/neuter cost). An interview, adoption application and a picture of their housing will be required before adoption.

We will NEVER separate a bonded pair. Bunnies bond for life. If the bunnies are shown together, they are bonded.

We are not adopting to homes with DOGS, we have had some bad trauma to our rabbits in the past. Their safety come first.
