She is such a sweet lady. She took a few days to settle in, but once she did, she revealed herself to be an inquisitive, outgoing girl with a little sass. She is extremely affectionate, loves her cheeks scratched and her head pat; otherwise, she’s happy to sploot out on the rug or under the couch/bed.
She is extremely polite and clean. I suggest getting a big litter box for her though, she’s a big gal! She likes to have plenty of room to run, preferably with rugs, and it’s a joy watching her binky around my apartment.
She is SO good with our little dog, following her around and sitting next to her on the couch. Apparently, she is also cat-friendly.
She has not gone out of her way to chew anything, but make sure to secure wires before leaving the house. I find that as long as she has more than enough hay and cardboard, she refrains from chewing anything else. Otherwise, her misbehavior is limited to untying my shoes, which I must admit is hilarious.
She tolerates being picked up and having her nails clipped. Likewise, she does not love being in her carrier, but it does not stress her out, it only annoys her. And she is easily coaxed in with a slice of banana, which seems to be a particular favorite of hers.
While she is okay being left alone, I find that she does get lonely if I leave her for too long, especially without the dog. She would do best in a home where someone is around for a good portion of the day. I give her a minimum of 30m-1hr of dedicated petting time a day.
We love Gracie and will be sad to see her go, but happy for her if she can find her furever home :)
