Spice - Lionhead Rabbit for Adoption in Howell Township, New Jersey

Spice is an adorable baby lionhead rabbit that came into our rescue under less than ideal circumstances. His owner purchased him a week prior from someone on the sidewalk of a busy street in Philadelphia. We think he was only 4-5 weeks old at the time, too young to be away from his mom. The owner was not very knowledgeable about rabbits and was keeping him in a very small wire enclosure outside. With no protection from the elements. He was also being fed grass and leaves from outside - not an ideal situation for a young rabbit. Fortunately a concerned family member stepped in and was able to get him and his brother Pumpkin to us. They are thriving in their foster home.

The Lionhead rabbit breed is known for its distinctive mane of wool encircling its head, resembling that of a lion. Characterized by their small size, charming demeanor, and playful nature, Lionheads make excellent pets for both families and individuals alike. These rabbits come in a wide range of colors and patterns, with their distinguishing feature being the wool mane that requires regular grooming. With their friendly and social personalities, Lionhead rabbits are popular among rabbit enthusiasts seeking a lovable and unique companion.
