Meet Hopper!
Hopper is an adorable lionhead mix with a beautiful fluffy mane and a gentle personality that's well worth getting to know.
When Hopper first came into foster care, she was a little shy and preferred to watch the world from a safe distance. As she's settled in, her confidence has continued to grow. She now happily greets visitors, enjoys spending time near people, and even made friends with my parents during their visit. While she isn't the type of rabbit to demand constant attention, she's sweet, curious, and enjoys being part of whatever is going on around her. Earning her trust is incredibly rewarding.
One of Hopper's favorite activities is chewing on natural toys, and she especially enjoys pulling on pieces of rope attached to her enrichment board. She also gets very excited about her greens—watching her munch a fresh piece of lettuce is guaranteed to make you smile!
Hopper has excellent house manners. She doesn't try to escape her exercise pen, isn't destructive, and has been a calm, easy rabbit to foster.
You may occasionally notice a slight head sway. She's been evaluated by two rabbit-savvy veterinarians, who do not believe it requires treatment, and it has become much less noticeable over time. It doesn't stop her from enjoying life, exploring, or doing all the normal rabbit things.
If you're looking for a gentle companion whose personality continues to blossom as she feels safe and loved, Hopper may be the perfect addition to your family.
She is being fostered in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. She hopes to meet you soon.
