Sow Some Love... Meet Oat!
Meet Oat, a 3-year-old bunny with a gentle heart, adorable little hops, and a story that deserves a much happier ending.
Oat came to Almost Home from a local animal shelter, where he had spent over an entire year waiting for someone to choose him.
In fact, Oat was their longest rabbit resident. For more than a year, he watched other animals come and go, hoping that one day it would finally be his turn. But that day never came.
So when we had the opportunity to welcome Oat into the Almost Home family, we knew this sweet boy deserved another chance to find his people.
Oat can be a little shy at first, but underneath that timid exterior is a very sweet bunny who's just waiting for someone patient enough to let him blossom.
And when he's feeling comfortable? This little oat is on the move!
Oat absolutely loves hopping around, exploring his surroundings, and enjoying the freedom to stretch those adorable little legs!
Oat doesn't need someone to rush him. He needs someone who will give him time, celebrate his little victories, and show him that the world can be a wonderful place.
He's already spent more than a year waiting. We don't want him to spend another one wondering when it will finally be his turn.
Could you be the one to help Oat finally put down roots? Apply to adopt Oat today at AlmostHomeLI.org!
Rabbit Reminder: Our rabbits do not live outdoors or in traditional rabbit cages. An X-pen setup or free-roam living arrangement is required.
