Both Pringle (female, lop) and Pogo (male) were found separately as strays when they were babies. Pogo was unharmed but Pringle had a badly broken leg and dislocated toes. After months of veterinary care, Pringle had her broken leg and half of her remaining toes amputated.
We knew that Pringle needed a partner to help take care of her, so we introduced her to Pogo and they have been together ever since. Both rabbits are very friendly and love head pets. They eat a ton of hay and get very excited for salad and treats.
Since Pringle only has one hind leg, it is imperative that she maintains a healthy weight. She cannot be on slick floor such as tile or wood, and may eventually need a low-entry litter box. Currently, she bounces around with no issues and does not know that her leg is missing. She still needs a lot of space to run around (as does Pogo).
Since Pringle is a lop, she is also highly prone to ear, nasal, and tooth infections. Her forever home needs to be prepared to spend a lot on vet care.
Pogo and Pringle need to be adopted together and never separated, even when going to the vet. They are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated. To start the adoption process, submit an application at bit.ly/NMHRSadoptionapp
