Cocoon - Bunny Rabbit Rabbit for Adoption in Richmond, California

COCOON

Bunny Rabbit
🇺🇸
Richmond, California
August 15th
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Chrysalis and Cocoon came to HRS from Oakland Animals Services.

These kids love to explore new spaces, boop friendly hands and say "hi" to every volunteer who takes a moment to give them attention. Of the two, Chrysalis, the sleek brown coated brother, is the most outgoing and curious while Cocoon, the more reserved grey spotted sister, enjoys to lounge about.

It is great that they have each other. Always supporting each other. When allowed,
they stay in their cardboard tunnel very close to each
other. When given the opportunity to explore, they like to, but on their own terms. These rabbits love to play with toys.

Why adopt a pair of rabbits who are already bonded? Rabbits are very social creatures and most enjoy the company of other rabbits. Bonded rabbits typically have a very strong bond and it's essential to keep them together as they depend on each other. And plus, when you adopt a bonded pair of rabbits, you're saving two lives instead of one!

Many people incorrectly think that caring for two rabbits will double the time, cost, and space required compared to a single rabbit. This isn't necessarily true, as bonded rabbits (usually!) share their litterboxes, hay, and toys. Often buying veggies in bulk is more economical too. If you've never bonded rabbits before, adopting a pair who's already bonded will save you a lot of time (and headache!) of bonding them yourself. A bonded pair will also keep each other entertained while you're at work for the day, hopefully keeping themselves (mostly) out of mischief. Double your cuteness and double your fun by adopting a bonded pair of rabbits!
