Yorkshire Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Hi there! I'm Alfie, and I am officially ready to start my new life as your professional lap-warmer!

I'm a 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix weighing in at a sturdy 13 lbs., and let me tell you, I have a storied past, but I'd rather move forward with love and a wagging tail than look backwards.

When I first arrived, I was feeling a bit weighed down (and a lot of messy, matted fur), but after a much-needed, heavy-duty spa day , I am feeling light, fresh, and fancy-free!

I am also a total social butterfly . If there is a person in the room, I want to be their best friend! I'm an attention-lover who will lean right into you or hop into your lap the second I get the chance. I'm also a big fan of other dogs. I think everyone is just great! I haven't met any cats yet, so I'm not sure how I feel about them, but I'm definitely a "people person."

Cheese is life: I will do just about anything for a little cheesy snack!


Kibble over canned: I'm a crunch lover! I'm not a fan of wet food, so keep the dry stuff coming.


Easy walker: I'm a dream on a leash and love a good stroll.

The nice people who found me noticed that I was a tiny bit hesitant about having my head touched at first. Probably just because of those "nasty mats" I used to have, but once I know you're a friend, I'm all in. The vet made sure I'm in tip-top shape. I'm also “snipped” so no need to worry about that.

Despite my bumpy journey, I haven't let it dampen my spirit for a second. I'm just a lovely, happy boy looking for a forever home where I can get lots of cuddles (and cheese).
