Hi everyone, Theo here!

When I first came into rescue, it was discovered that I needed surgery on my femur. It took some time to get in with a specialist, and since then I've been busy healing, rebuilding my strength, and learning how to use my leg again. I'm happy to say that my vet has given me the thumbs-up to continue my journey toward finding my forever home!

One thing I've discovered about myself is that I absolutely love people. When we're out for walks and I spot someone, I'm secretly hoping they'll stop to say hello and give me a few pets. Human attention is definitely one of my favorite things.

I currently share my foster home with a few other dogs, and I've learned that I do best with dogs that are my size or smaller.

If you've ever wanted to try grooming your own dog, I might be the perfect match! My foster mom says I'm an ideal candidate for at-home grooming—and she also says I'm the perfect dog. I think she's onto something.

I do need a securely fenced yard because I enjoy being able to go outside whenever I need to.

I'm also what you might call a "velcro dog." I always want to be wherever you are. If you're cooking, don't be surprised if I'm sitting right at your feet. It does mean I can be underfoot, so you'll need to be mindful of where I am to avoid tripping over me. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy rather than mind, we could be a wonderful match.

I've come a long way, and now I'm ready to find a family to call my own. If you think we could be the perfect fit, I'd love to receive your application. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life with a family who will love me forever.

A Note from My Foster Mom

Theo believes people exist to give him all the love and attention—and honestly, he's not wrong! He absolutely adores being doted on and soaked up every bit of extra TLC while recovering from his femur surgery.

People are Theo's favorite, though he has learned to enjoy playing with a small dog in his foster home. He's happiest with companions his own size and isn't comfortable around dogs that are bigger than he is.

Theo is searching for a family that will cherish him as much as he'll cherish them. Despite everything he's been through, he greets each day with hope, resilience, and an open heart. His capacity for love is truly remarkable, and all he's missing is a forever home where he can finally enjoy the happy ending he deserves.
