Chiqi is a tiny dog with a big heart who is simply looking for the right person to love.
This adorable 5-year-old, 10 lb. mixed breed was surrendered at the shelter through no fault of her own, leaving her confused as to why she lost the only home she knew. Thankfully, shes now safe with her foster dad, Steve Forino, where her sweet personality has continued to blossom.
Chiqi is happiest in a peaceful home where she can relax, enjoy quiet walks, and soak up affection from the people she trusts. She absolutely loves gentle pets and attention, but shes also an independent little lady who appreciates having her own space from time to time. Once you understand her, youll discover a loyal, loving companion who thrives on trust.
Chiqi is house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and has had her dental cleaning done. She enjoys her daily walks, and settles beautifully when left home alone. She isnt destructive and is content curling up in a cozy bed while waiting for her favorite person to return.
Because Chiqi prefers a calm, predictable environment, shed do best as the only pet in an adult home or one with older, respectful children. She can occasionally be protective of her food, toys, or bed and has a few sensitive spots she doesnt enjoy being touched, so shes looking for an adopter who understands canine body language and will let her set the pace. In return, shell reward you with unwavering companionship and quiet devotion.
Chiqi doesnt need a perfect family, she just needs the right one. Someone patient enough to earn her trust, kind enough to respect her boundaries, and loving enough to give her the forever home she deserves.
