Penny is a resilient little fighter. Since coming into rescue, she has breezed through two surgeries (one for bladder stones and one for a mammary tumor) and is feeling fantastic and ready for her next chapter. She might be a senior, and she might be a little hard of hearing, but she has plenty of love—and a fun touch of Yorkie sass—to give!
The Life and Times of Penny:
The Ultimate Sunbather: Penny absolutely loves going outside to sniff the grass and investigate the yard.
Great House Manners: She is both crate-trained and puppy-pad trained.
Social Circles: She does well with older kids and easy-going dog siblings (she likes to be the boss, so laid-back furry friends are best!).
Fresh & Fancy: She keeps up her signature Yorkie look with a fresh groom every 6 weeks.

Single-Level Living: Her super short legs mean stairs are a no-go. A ranch-style home or single-level apartment/condo setup is perfect.

A House, Not an Apartment: Penny likes to use her voice to let you know what's going on, so shared-wall apartments aren't the best fit for her vocal stylings.
The Royal Diet: To make sure those pesky bladder stones never come back, Penny just needs a simple prescription diet and distilled water. Easy peasy!
