Meet Diva!
Diva may only weigh 6.5 pounds, but this little Yorkie mix has a BIG personality! At just 1 year old, she is a spunky, curious little gal who is ready to find a family of her very own.
Diva came to Prairie Paws Rescue as an owner surrender, and she is making herself right at home in her foster family.
One of Diva's favorite things is snuggling! She is a cuddler who loves being close to her people and soaking up attention. She is also very curious about the world around her. New sounds and activity in the foster home will catch her attention, and Diva may bark to let you know that she heard something. She's a little watchdog in a very tiny package!
Diva gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is also curious about the resident cats and is learning about these interesting creatures. We do not have information about how she does with young children, so a home with older, respectful children may be the best fit.
A big THANK YOU to Lacey at Kona's Edge for giving Diva a much-needed grooming. Now that all that extra fluff is gone, we can finally see her adorable little face!
Diva's teeth are unfortunately in poor condition for such a young dog. She will have a dental cleaning performed during her spay surgery, so she can start her new life feeling her very best.
It appears Diva may have spent quite a bit of time in a crate in her previous home. These days, she makes it very clear that she would much rather be out where the action is! She enjoys being part of the household and doesn't want to miss anything. However, she does stay in her crate while her foster family is away for 45 hours and overnight.
House training is still a work in progress, so her new family will need to continue working with her using patience, consistency, and a good routine.
Diva is a tiny girl with a huge heart, a curious mind, and enough personality to keep you smiling every day. If you're looking for a little companion who loves to cuddle but isn't afraid to tell you when something interesting is happening, Diva may be your girl!
She may be small, but Diva is definitely ready to make a BIG impression on her forever family!
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including spay shots worming flea treatment rabies shot kennel cough micro chip grooming Dental cleaning and vet examination.
The adoption fee is $200 + tax with an approved application. The pre-adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com.
