Just a few short months ago, Ziggy's story looked like it was coming to an end.

She was surrendered by her owners to a shelter with a face horribly swollen and riddled with cancer. Her prognosis was heartbreaking, and her odds of survival weren't great.

But Ziggy had other plans.

This girl is a fighter!

With an incredible amount of determination, the love and care of her rescue team, CAMO and chemotherapy, Ziggy did what so many thought might not be possible.

She beat the odds.

And now, after receiving the all clear, Ziggy is finally ready for what she has been waiting for all along:

Her new life. Her forever family. Her happily ever after.

Ziggy is an absolute sweetheart who loves nothing more than being close to her person. She is a professional snuggler, loves to play fetch, and is happiest when she's the center of attention. Because she wants all of her human's love for herself, Ziggy would do best as the only dog in the home.

She has already fought so hard for her second chance. Now she just needs someone willing to give her the forever home she deserves.

Ziggy will need to remain local for the next few months while she continues her maintenance chemotherapy and routine lab work at The Animal Cancer and Referral Center of The Woodlands. Once she's finished with her follow-up care, she'll be ready to put that chapter completely behind her.
