MEET PEPA — 5.5 LBS OF PURE LOVE!
Pepa is a tiny 5.5-pound Yorkie, approximately 4 years old, who came to us from a breeder a few weeks ago after having puppies. Now it is her turn to be the baby!
She has been living with my pack and fit in from day one. And besides being cute as a button, this little girl is pretty phenomenal.
She loves going for walks, enjoys the dog park, is wonderful at the groomer and absolutely loves other dogs. She also loves being picked up and carried around—which, at 5.5 lbs, isn't exactly difficult!
Sit on the sofa and Pepa will probably be the first one on your tummy, roll over and offer you her belly. At bedtime, she comes with her own little donut bed and sleeps peacefully right near your head all night.
She has a great appetite and is potty trained as long as she is taken outside regularly. She had puppies, but sometimes acts like a puppy herself. She is sweet, affectionate, social and simply 5.5 LBS OF LOVE!
Pepa is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and has had a dental.
Because she is so tiny, we will not adopt her to a family with young children or a home with larger dogs. These requirements come from experience and are for Pepa's safety.
We would also prefer a house rather than a condo, as Pepa can bark when she is left alone.
And one very important consideration: Yorkies can live a long life, possibly 17 years or more. Pepa is only around 4. Please think about where you may be 10–13 years from now when applying. Our goal isn't simply to find Pepa a home today. We want to find the home where she will stay for the rest of her life.
Adoption fee: $1,100
Please understand that we are a nonprofit rescue, not a breeder. Some of the dogs who come to us are older, injured or require extensive medical care. Adoption fees from highly adoptable little dogs like Pepa help us pay the veterinary bills for those who are less fortunate.
Every dollar stays with the rescue and goes toward helping dogs—not into a breeder's pocket.
Pepa spent the first part of her life having puppies for someone else.
Now it's Pepa's turn to be spoiled.
