Meet Jaxon — a gentle, affectionate little 7.5 lb, 11 year old boy rescued from severe neglect. When found, he was badly matted, dangerously underweight, and had to be completely shaved down. Although his coat is still growing back, he’s already showing signs of becoming a very handsome pup.

With proper nutrition, veterinary care, and lots of love, Jaxon is making wonderful progress. He’s gaining weight, regrowing a healthy coat, and becoming more confident every day.

Jaxon is an incredibly sweet and cuddly companion who loves nothing more than curling up in a lap, on the couch, or beside his people. He thrives on human companionship and would do best in a calm home where someone is around often.

He is not fully house trained yet but does well with pee pads and frequent outdoor potty breaks. He tolerates a belly band well and has shown great potential with a consistent routine. Jaxon does not do well in a crate and will need a home that can avoid crating.

He gets along nicely with calm, similarly sized dogs and is beginning to enjoy playtime as he gains strength. He also tolerates grooming and nail trims very well.

Jaxon would thrive with a patient, loving family committed to continuing his house training, socialization, and recovery journey. In return, he will reward you with endless affection and companionship.

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. For consideration for one or more dogs, we require that an on-line application is filled out.

Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online.

Our application process:
FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue.
SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc.
If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again. We will make every effort to find the right dog for an approved applicant.
