Scruffy is a 4-year-old, 13-pound Yorkie mix with a big personality packed into a small, scruffy package. Scruffy is still working through some typical post-surgery behaviors like marking and occasional humping, particularly around other male dogs. With consistency, supervision, and a bit of patience, these behaviors are expected to improve as his hormones settle and he continues to adjust. Scruffy would do best in a home with older children who can respect his space and understand dog behavior. A household similar to one with kids around ages 6–10 has been a great fit for him—he enjoys being part of the action but also appreciates a calm, predictable environment.
