He's currently working on potty training and making steady progress with consistency. Melvin may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, his social side really shines. He does well with other dogs and enjoys being part of the action.

Melvin has a curious, adventurous side and may try to explore if a door is left open, so he'll need a home that's mindful about keeping doors and gates secure.

He would do best with a family that can give him a little patience at first, along with plenty of play, structure, and love.

All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
