Meet Amber!

Amber is an 8 year old yellow lab mix with a heart of gold and a smile that will melt your heart. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and friendly, and she absolutely loves being with her people. Amber adores kids and adults, and she has previously lived happily with a cat. She loves playtime, adventures, cuddles, and, of course, sleeping on the bed with her favorite humans!

Amber is house trained and even bell trained, she'll ring the bell when she needs to go outside. She is active and playful but also loves settling in for some serious cuddle time. She's the kind of dog who wants to be part of the family and will happily be right by your side.

Amber is being rehomed because of her owner's health and because, with everything her owner is currently managing, their apartment and circumstances simply aren't the best fit for Amber anymore. She deserves a home where she can have plenty of love, attention, and opportunities to enjoy all the little things that make her happy.

Amber is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and receives regular medical care. She does have skin allergies and occasional flare-ups, which are managed with prescription food that helps her feel her very best. Her full medical records are available to her adopter.

When Amber sees other dogs, she can get very excited and may bark. We are still getting to know this behavior and would like to do a deeper evaluation to better understand whether she is simply excited/reactive or may need some extra support around other dogs. For now, we're looking for adopters who are comfortable taking things at her pace and helping us learn more about this sweet girl.
