Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart, and Sarge is one of them.

Sarges story began in Oklahoma, where he was found all alone in a ditch weighing only about 3 pounds. Thankfully, a kind person rescued him, cared for him, and helped him make the journey to Massachusetts in search of a better life.

When Sarge arrived in foster care, something wonderful happened—his foster family fell completely in love with him. He became an instant foster fail, because he was simply too special to let go.

Sadly, after an unexpected family tragedy, they made the heartbreaking decision to return him through no fault of his own.

Now Sarge is looking for another family to love.

Sarge appears to be a Retriever mix with the sweetest, gentlest soul. Hes a little shy and submissive when meeting new people, but once he knows hes safe, hes incredibly loving. He is non-reactive and gets along beautifully with people, other dogs, and even cats. He truly is one of those rare dogs who just wants to be everyones friend.
