Sandy is a beautiful 8 to 10-year-old Golden Lab/Whippet mix weighing approximately 70 pounds. This sweet senior girl has a calm, gentle temperament and is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years.

Sandy is generally mild-mannered and easygoing, but she still has a playful side. She loves going for walks, playing with balls, and chasing sticks. Getting her to give them back, however, is another story! And her greatest nemesis? The water hose!

Sandy has done well around other dogs and previously lived with another dog for two years. She's also been good with children and currently shares her home with a 2-year-old and a 7-year-old. She can get a little excited and may jump up, so supervision around smaller children is important given her size.

She knows basic commands like "sit" and "lay down." She does tend to pull on the leash, so she'll need someone comfortable handling a larger dog during walks.

Sandy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has no known health issues. Her medical records are available and can be provided to potential adopters. Sandy does experience some general and separation anxiety, so she'll benefit from a patient, understanding adopter who can provide reassurance, consistency, and a stable routine.
