Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Needed!
Meet sweet Penny! This beautiful 1½-year-old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix is just as lucky as a penny found heads up. She’s up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed — all she’s missing is a forever family to call her own.
Penny is an inquisitive girl who loves learning new things and being part of whatever her people are doing. She bonds deeply with her humans and will happily pause her adventures just to come over for pets, cuddles, and a quick kiss. True to her name, she’s an absolute treasure.
She’s house-trained and will jiggle the bells at the door when she needs to go outside. Penny isn’t much of a crate fan, but she settles nicely at night, sleeping in and out of her dog bed in her foster’s bedroom.
Penny loves kids and other dogs and gets adorably excited whenever she spots potential new friends on walks. She would thrive in a home with another playful canine companion to share her zoomies and affection with. She can pull a little on leash at first, but calms down after she gets her excitement out.
Like any young pup, Penny is still working on her manners and basic commands like sit and stay. She knows “no” and usually comes when called — unless the neighbors’ kids or dogs are nearby, because then her puppy enthusiasm takes over and all bets are off! She’s still very much a goofy puppy at heart and enjoys shredding paper items and squeaky toys. She’s also quite clever when it comes to investigating counters, closets, or anywhere snacks might be hiding.
Because Penny has a strong chase instinct, she’ll do best in a home with a traditionally fenced yard and without small animals. She’ll need a family committed to giving her plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and continued obedience training.
Penny is looking for a foster or a foster-to-adopt and is ready to become the lucky penny in someone’s pocket.

Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. It’s a lifetime commitment!
