Rocky Mae - Wirehaired Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fremont, Ohio

Rocky Mae is a 2 year 2 month old Wired haired Terrier mix weighing 30 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender after a bite incident. Rocky Mae is a special girl looking for a special home! Full disclosure, she has some strikes against her and we're looking for a home with an experienced owner that is willing to give her a chance. The bite incident occurred in her home when she was startled by a pop gun and she nipped. Next, she has displayed food aggression here at the shelter. Rocky needs an experienced adopter to show her positive reinforcement, discipline and routine. Once you've earned Rocky Mae's trust she's is fun girl! She loves to play tug, her favorites are apple slices and green beans. She knows commands sit, stay, hugs, kisses and paw. She's affectionate and enjoys attention. She is crate trained and housebroken. She's a jumper. Does well with baths but is dramatic with nail trims. Good on a leash unless distracted (squirrel)! Good with other dogs.

Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00 (includes $1.00 service charge).

Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today!
