Jasper is a sweet 12-year-old Terrier mix weighing around 59 pounds, and he is searching for a forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by the love and care he deserves.



Jasper came to the rescue from the Bell County Animal Shelter after being surrendered by his owner. His owner’s wife had passed away, and he eventually had to move into a nursing home where he could no longer care for Jasper. This was not because Jasper wasn’t loved. His family found themselves in a heartbreaking situation and wanted to make sure he was safe.

Now, Jasper is being cared for while he waits for the forever family he so deserves.

Jasper is a happy, sweet-natured boy who loves going outside and is house-trained. He does well with other dogs, and we are still learning more about his personality as he settles in. At 59 pounds, Jasper could stand to lose a little weight, but with healthy meals, gentle walks, and a family to keep him moving, he will be on the right track.

What we already know is that Jasper has a truly sweet spirit and so much love left to give. At 12 years old, he should not have to wonder what happened to his family or where he belongs. He deserves a soft place to land, a comfortable bed, someone to take him outside, and a family who will remind him every day that he is still deeply loved.
