Meet Bowie

Bowie is a 22-pound mixed breed girl with the sweetest little smile and a gentle heart. She is great with other dogs and absolutely loves cats, so having furry friends in her new home would be ideal.

Bowie is housebroken and sleeps comfortably in her crate through the night. During the day, she does well in a safe area when left alone and has been fine for up to six hours. She is happiest when her person is home with her and enjoys being part of the household.

Bowie can be fearful, especially around men. When she gets scared, she may bark or growl, but she has never bitten. Because of this, she needs a quiet, patient home with women only where she can feel safe and continue building confidence.

Once she trusts you, Bowie is a loving and playful girl. She loves running, playing fetch with her favorite starfish toy, and has even discovered that treats are pretty wonderful. She does have a talent for helping herself to the cat food, too.

Bowie takes anxiety medication well when hidden in cream cheese and also does great with her vitamins and calming chews.

Her ideal home is a women-only household with another dog, cats, or both. She doesn't need a perfect home. She just needs a safe one where she can relax, feel protected, and finally be the happy girl we know she can be.

The Whippet is a sleek and graceful breed known for its agility and speed, with origins dating back to Victorian England. These affectionate and gentle dogs make excellent companions for families and individuals alike, excelling in various activities such as lure coursing and obedience training. With their slender build and short coat, Whippets are low maintenance when it comes to grooming but require regular exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
