Meet Reggie!

Reggie is a 7-month-old Whippet/Italian Greyhound mix with a sweet, sensitive personality. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he’s gaining confidence every day as he learns that the world is a pretty great place.

Reggie absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident canine buddy to help show him the ropes. Having a dog friend really helps him feel safe and continue building his confidence. We believe he would likely do fine with cats after a slow, proper introduction.

This handsome boy has a playful side, too. Reggie enjoys tossing his toys around and doing the occasional goofy little pounce. Once he’s gotten his sillies out, he’s perfectly happy to curl up on the couch for snuggles and some well-deserved pets.

Reggie will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs and zoom around, since leash walks are still a bit intimidating for him right now. The good news is that he is crate trained and doing really well with his house training.

Reggie is looking for a home within a few hours of Chicago so he can remain within the rescue’s adoption area.
