ADOPTABLE hunk of hound love, Malachi is a 10-ish-year-old, 60-ish-pound Treeing Walker Coonhound love who is finally getting to enjoy all the good things a dog’s life should have.

After spending most of his life chained outside, Malachi has discovered that indoor life is pretty amazing — and he has absolutely mastered it! This big, thick, lovable hound is happiest stretched out on a comfy dog bed or couch, snoozing the day away.

Malachi can be left loose in his foster home without being crated and has not been destructive. He’s house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. And like any respectable hound boy, he takes mealtime very seriously.

But don’t let his love of naps fool you — Malachi also really enjoys his walks! He loves taking his time, sniffing all the smells, sightseeing and doing a little “hound hunting.” Because he is a true hound through and through, he must be kept on leash when exploring outside of a securely fenced area. If Malachi catches an interesting scent, he is definitely going to want to follow it!

And his personality? Malachi is pretty much everything-friendly.
