Athena - Terrier Dog Available for Adoption in Warren, Rhode Island

Meet Athena! Our sweet girl is officially nearly 6 months old, weighs 15lbs, and is ready to find her forever home! While she started out as a tiny, dainty pup, she has grown into a brave, active, and incredibly smart companion who is ready for her next big adventure.

Athena is a high-energy girl who loves to stay busy. You can count on her to be ready for regular playtime from 6:00 AM all the way until 9:00 PM! When she does finally decide its time to unwind, she is still a professional lounger who loves nothing more than burying herself in her favorite soft pillows for a good nap. She is also beautifully kennel trained, loves her bones, walks well on a harness when she has a doggie buddy by her side, and has pretty well mastered the command "sit", especially if there are tasty treats involved!

When it comes to the potty routine, Athena is a total rockstar and has learned to use a dog door all on her own to go outside. Because Athena thrives on companionship and social energy, she needs a home with another dog playmate. She would also do perfectly fine in a home that has cats, as long as she has a canine brother or sister to bond and play with, too.

Athena is as sweet as can be, though she prefers to build a foundation of trust first. Once you earn her trust, she transforms into an absolute snuggle bug. She has a wonderfully brave spirit and, once that bond is built with you, she can easily be guided to try new things and explore the world with confidence. Athena has come so far from her early puppy days and is fully prepared to bring a lifetime of love, loyalty, and fun to the right family .
