Meet Max! This handsome 1-year-old is ready to find a family to call his own. Max may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and soon becomes a loving, loyal companion who's happiest right by your side -- or even in your lap!
Max is reported to do well with other dogs and older children (we are recommending over the age of 12yo). He can feel nervous around very young kids, so he would be most comfortable in a home with respectful older children who can help him build confidence at his own pace.
This active boy would thrive with a family that enjoys adventure. Whether it's hiking, camping, exploring new trails, or maybe even swimming, Max is excited to be part of the fun. He's eager to learn and, with positive reinforcement and consistency, has all the potential to become an amazing addition to his future home.
Because Max is a recent shelter transfer, his experience with cats and his potty-training status are currently unknown. With patience, structure, and love, Max is ready to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion.
