Pongo has mastered the art of enjoying the good life: a leisurely walk, affection from his people, and plenty of time hanging out in a fenced yard watching the world go by. At five years old, this laid-back, spotty-eared guy is happiest simply being part of your day, often following you from room to room to see what you’re up to.

Pongo came into rescue after being shot and losing a leg, but being a tripod hasn’t taken away his enthusiasm for walks or everyday adventures. At about 35 pounds, he’s looking for someone who understands that keeping him at a healthy weight and giving him appropriate regular exercise will help protect his remaining limbs and keep him enjoying life for years to come.

He shares his foster home comfortably with other dogs, but he doesn’t depend on them for confidence or company. He could happily join a home with a canine housemate or settle in as your only dog.
