Marley - Terrier Dog for Adoption in Toronto, Ontario

From the sunny beaches of Barbados please welcome Marley. This poor little guy, with significant hair loss and underlying health concerns, was wandering alone in a parking lot hoping someone would take notice and help him. Thank goodness someone did this and ended up at Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary to be taken care of. After further medical tests it was confirmed that Marley had a thyroid issue and the good news is that the medication is working and his fur is growing back in. He will need to stay on them and the cost would be roughly $29
for 100 pills. He has no issue taking them and has never refused especially when they are hidden in a piece of a hotdog! Marley weighs roughly around 17 lbs and is very playful. It’s hard to figure out what breed of dog he is. Some behaviour mimics a cattle dog...following close behind at your feet. He is quite the looker with his unique colouring and we are constantly stopped by people commenting
about him. The majority of the people say he looks like a fox! His fur doesn’t shed so he’s been to his first grooming session and did great. Marley loves being outside and would stay out there all day if he could. He loves his walks and
is very good at meeting other dogs and people. He does like to pull a bit so he will need a bit of work on that. He’s good at keeping himself entertained with toys and chewies. He does mouth bite when he gets excited and we have been trying to get him out of that habit so because of this he would not be good with children in the house. Marley would do best in a suburban setting. A single detached home with a fully enclosed backyard is a must. He has barked at noises at night so no townhouses or apartment dwellings. Marley would be fine being the only dog in the house, but it would be really nice if he would have a brother or sister to play with. When he arrived it seemed that he wasn’t used to being in a house and a lot of noises scared him so to have another dog to follow would help him gain
