Meet our girl, Lyra!

Lyra is such a sweet and lovely girl! When she first meets you, she can be a little shy, but with a few treats and some gentle baby talk, she warms up quickly. Once she feels comfortable, she is happy to show you just how affectionate she is--and she loves giving lots of kisses!

We are still getting to know Lyra, so we don't yet know how she feels about other dogs, cats, or children. What we do know is that she absolutely loves her humans and wants to be close to them.

A securely fenced yard would be ideal for Lyra, giving her a safe place to run, play with her toys, and enjoy some outdoor time. If you're looking for a sweet girl who will reward you with plenty of love and affection, Lyra may be your girl!

Pet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. We are a limited admission shelter that supports our local animals control facilities by helping take in the overflow of cats and dogs from their facilities. We also take in owner surrenders as space allows.
