Meet 26P-Mama!
Name: P-Mama/Bambi
Breed Mix: Terrier Mix
Age: 2–3 years
Weight: 14 lbs
Dogs: Yes! Gets along well with small dogs but would also be perfectly happy as an only dog.
Cats: Can coexist with confident, dog-savvy cats. She occasionally attempts to chase, so supervision is recommended.
Kids: Unknown. However, I think she would do better with older, dog-savvy children, as she can occasionally show resource guarding behaviors.
House-trained:Yes! Signals when she needs to go outside and has had zero accidents in her foster home.
Crate Trained: Yes! Knows the command “Go to your bed,” willingly goes into her crate, and settles nicely when left home alone.
Leash Trained: Yes! Walks very well on leash but can be reactive toward other dogs and occasionally people.
A Little About P-Mama
P-Mama has been with us for over a month, and she has genuinely been the best little foster! She’s such a sweet, easygoing girl with the perfect balance of being a couch potato and an adventure buddy.
She spends most of her day happily lounging around the house, but bring out a ball, and she’s ready for a game of fetch! She absolutely loves playing fetch, going on walks, and exploring the outdoors. She’s even completed a six-mile hike with our dogs! Despite her adventurous side, she’s pretty laid-back at home and doesn’t need constant activity or entertainment.
One of the things I love most about P-Mama is how easily she’s adjusted to our routine. She’s been an absolute dream when it comes to potty training and crate manners. She gets along well with our small dogs but is also independent enough that I think she’d be just as happy being someone’s one and only. She also coexists with our cat, although she sometimes needs reminders not to chase him.
Like any dog, she has a few things she’s still working on. She can occasionally be reactive toward other dogs and people on walks and sometimes shows resource guarding behaviors. I think she’d do best with a patient, understanding family who can continue helping her build confidence.
She’s honestly been such a joy to foster, and I think she’d make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a little dog who loves both adventures and lazy days at home.
After raising her puppies, it’s finally P-Mama’s turn to be someone’s baby and experience all the love and attention she deserves!
