Hi there, I’m Mazie! I’m a 6-to-7-month-old bundle of happiness weighing in at a perfect 32 pounds. My foster family says I am the ultimate "best of both worlds" kind of puppy. I have plenty of playful energy, but I also love to settle down for random naps and quiet time.

My absolute favorite things in the world are playing with my toys, romping around with my foster dog sibling, and snuggling up with my humans. Oh, and I love walks! I’m doing really well learning not to pull on my leash and harness. I also have a hilarious hobby: chasing frogs! They scare me a little bit when they hop, but I just can't help myself.

I am a very smart girl who gets along with everyone I meet. I already know "sit" and "shake," and I am currently working on "down." I'm also making lots of progress with my house-training! I take cues from other dogs well and would probably do just fine with a dog-savvy cat. I'd love to live in a home with another dog, but it isn't a must-have. But I would want lots of playdates to keep me social and wonderful! I take treats very gently and do well in my kennel while my fosters are at work. Sometimes I cry a bit when they leave, but I settle in just fine after a short time.

When the day is done, I just want to be close to you. I get a tiny bit worried when my humans leave the room, but I'm building up my confidence every day. If you put a cozy dog bed right next to your bed, I will happily cuddle with you at bedtime and then sleep quietly through the night in my own bed.
