About a year and a half ago, Paxton found his forever home with a wonderful woman who loved him dearly. They were very bonded, and Paxton was exactly what she needed-a loyal companion who was always by her side. Sadly, she recently needed to move into assisted living, and through no fault of his own, Paxton found himself back with Camp Companion.

Paxton is the kind of dog who **loves his person with his whole heart.** Once he bonds with you, he is ALL in. He wants to be near you, keep an eye on you, snuggle beside you, and make sure you are safe. He takes his job as your protector very seriously! Because of this strong bond, he would do best with someone who understands that his loyalty can also mean he is protective of his person.

Paxton may be a little cautious when meeting strangers, but give him a little time and he will show you what a loving, affectionate boy he really is. Once you are his person, you will have a devoted shadow and best friend for life.

He is wonderful with dogs his own size and enjoys having canine friends around. **Big dogs, however, make him nervous**, so he would be happiest with smaller, respectful dogs. Paxton would also do best in a home without young children and with someone who will appreciate his calm, loyal nature. He would do best in a home with just one or two people.

He walks beautifully on a leash and loves going for rides in the car. He is also perfectly happy to curl up next to you on the couch or snuggle into bed. And despite having had all of his teeth removed, Paxton eats just fine and doesn't let that stop him from enjoying life!
