Looking for that laid back puppy that is an excellent passenger in the car? Nico is the one for you! He came from Mendocino County, with his brother, where they were saved from a town with a severe overpopulation of stray dogs.
Nico has gorgeous brindle fur and long legs. He is happy, playful and adventurous. He is obsessed with playing outdoors in the bushes, chewing on sticks and absolutely loves playing with other dogs and toys. If he doesn't have another dog to play with, he will entertain himself.
Nico can be very independent and when he's tired, he will go take a nap. He enjoys humans, giving drive by kisses, but he is not human overly focused - other animals are what he prefers so perfect for someone that does not want a clingy dog and a best friend for their current pup(s).
He does well in the crate and sleeps all through the night. He is very smart and pretty much potty trained. He does well on leash and harness, and fully vaccinated! Nico would make an excellent addition to any family (especially with another doggy sibling) with proper introductions and continued puppy training.

IBR requires landlord permission for renters and a yard check for all puppies. We do not adopt out siblings. Please allow volunteers a few days to look over applications. An adoption fee applies. Volunteers will CALL if your application is selected for a phone interview.
