Meet Mindy!

Mindy is an 11-year-old, 45 lb terrier mix who is looking for a soft place to land and a family to love her through her golden years. She came to rescue after her longtime owner had to move into assisted living. Mindy had been with the same family since she was a puppy, so this transition has been a big one for her.

She’s still adjusting to new surroundings, but underneath it all is a sweet, loving girl who just wants a cozy spot near her people.

Mindy has clearly lived a spoiled life, so she’s currently working on getting to a healthier weight. With regular walks and a balanced diet, she’s already making great progress—she’s lost a pound in just a couple of weeks.

This girl is the total package when it comes to companionship. She loves belly rubs and couch cuddles and is happiest when she’s close to her people, even sleeping in bed with them. She is fully house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with both dogs and cats. She also absolutely loves car rides.
