Peanut is an 8-week-old terrier mix with a playful little spirit, a sweet affectionate side, and a whole lot of personality packed into a tiny body.
Peanut, her siblings, and their mom were all at Riverside Animal Shelter before coming into our rescue. Now she is safe, growing, playing, and waiting for the family who will get to watch her become the dog she is meant to be.
Right now, Peanut is exactly what you would expect from a happy little puppy.
She loves to play. She loves attention. She loves being close to people. She is curious about everything around her and is still learning how the world works one tiny adventure at a time.
Her mom weighs about 12 pounds, and based on Peanut's current size, we expect her to stay small as an adult, likely around 10 pounds or under. As with any mixed-breed puppy, adult size is always an estimate.
Peanut is still a baby, which means her adopter should be prepared for all of the work that comes with raising a puppy.
Potty training. Teething. Socialization. Structure. Routine. Patience. And helping her learn how to become a confident, well-adjusted adult dog.
We want her family to fall in love with the whole process, not only the adorable puppy stage.
Let’s Rescue Dogs will cover Peanut's first round of vaccines, and once she is old enough, we will also cover the cost of her spay after adoption.
Peanut started her life in a shelter alongside her mom and siblings.
Now she gets the chance to grow up knowing something completely different.
A soft place to sleep.
A family who chooses her.
A home filled with play, affection, and the kind of love she never has to lose.
Peanut is ready to start the rest of her life.
She just needs someone to start it with.
