Meet Oscar!

Oscar is a 1.5-year-old Terrier mix weighing about 16 pounds, and this little guy has already overcome so much. Oscar was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan, literally starving to death and nothing but skin and bones. Thankfully, he made his way into our care and then into a loving foster home, where he has had a major glow-up — both physically and emotionally!

Today, Oscar is a happy, playful little guy who is discovering just how wonderful life can be. He gets along great with other dogs, especially pups around his size, and he absolutely loves being around people.

Oscar loves playing with toys, getting the zoomies in the yard, and going for walks. But after he’s had his fun, he’s more than happy to curl up in your lap on the couch and enjoy some quiet time with his favorite person.

Because Oscar is still learning to trust the world and feel safe, we think he’d do best with children over the age of 10 who understand how to respect his space and let him come around at his own pace.

Oscar has come such a long way, and now he’s ready for the best part of his story: finding a family who will show him that he never has to worry about being hungry, scared, or alone again.
