Luke - Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Greensburg, Pennsylvania

If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who enjoys a nice stroll but is equally happy spending the afternoon lounging on the couch, you might just fall in love with Luke!

Luke is a handsome 7–8-year-old Terrier/Pit Bull mix who weighs around 63 lbs (although he's currently a little underweight, and we're working on getting some healthy pounds back on him!). This handsome guy has a wonderfully mellow personality. He enjoys his neighborhood walks, but once he's back home, you can bet he'll be heading straight for his favorite spot on the couch.

Don't let his couch-potato reputation fool you, though! Luke still has a little athletic side. He recently enjoyed a walk on the trails, where he ran like a champ and loved stretching his legs! He was also fantastic with the variety of dogs he encountered, adjusting beautifully to dogs with different personalities and temperaments. Strollers and passing electric bikes? No problem for this easygoing dude!

Luke is good with both dogs and cats, does well in his crate, and is accustomed to doing his business outside. He's also food motivated, which makes helping him put on some much-needed weight a pretty easy assignment!

Sadly, Luke hasn't always had the life he deserved. He came to our rescue from animal control after what appears to have been a difficult past. When he arrived, his skin was in terrible condition—raw, irritated, inflamed, and incredibly uncomfortable. He's now receiving the care he needs, including daily Zenrelia medication to help manage his allergies and a special skin and coat diet. His ongoing care will need to be continued by his future adopter so he can stay comfortable and healthy.

After everything this sweet boy has been through, Luke deserves a family who will see just how special he is and give him the love, patience, and care he's been missing.

A comfortable couch, leisurely walks, a full food bowl, and people who love him unconditionally. Is that really too much for a guy to ask?
