Tikka is an adorable Terrier mix who is looking for a new family after losing her beloved owner. This little girl is all about love, cuddles, and being close to her people. If there’s a lap available, Tikka would very much like to be in it! When she isn’t snuggled up with you, she’s perfectly happy sleeping by your feet and keeping you company.
Tikka loves attention and still has plenty of playful spirit. Give her a tennis ball or a squeaky toy and you’ll have one happy girl! She also enjoys being around other dogs and especially seems to love the company of the big dogs. However, because of her size, she may ultimately be happiest with a dog closer to her own size or as your one-and-only.
Tikka does have cataracts in both eyes, so her vision is not perfect. She also has a high prey drive and will chase cats, so a cat-free home is best. She has not lived with children, but we think she could likely do well with respectful kids ages 10 and up.
Tikka has been through a heartbreaking loss, and what she needs now is someone who will give her the love, attention, and cozy home she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet little companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side (or in your lap!), Tikka may be your girl.

Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess.
