DESCRIPTION
- May prefer to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress
- Likes treats and toys (especially rope toys); would be fun to train!
- Knows sit and shake - good boy!
- Very energetic; will do best with a harness on walks
- May do best with a mature family that understands body language and is willing to teach boundaries
- Tends to be a linebacker-type player and socially awkward with other dogs; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro recommended)
- Must meet any resident dogs before adoption
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
