Oscar - Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Choctaw, Oklahoma

Hi, I'm Oscar. In my foster parents house, they call me lots of things like Peanut, Noodle, and Get out of the Kitchen. The last one is a little long for me but I don't mind it.
Anyway, more about me. I think I'm around 2 years old, a mix of breeds, likely some sort of terrier! I have a little wire-like hair on my nose but the rest of me is nice and soft! My foster dad says I'm part Goodest Boy and part Fat Head. I weigh about 33 lbs which IS NORMAL, OK?! My energy level is pretty average for a dog my age. I enjoy surfing around the house for a dog toy or wandering around while my pretend dads work on the lawn! Luckily, I haven't found a shoe or couch leg that I like to gnaw on. I have only had a few accidents inside the house, but I mostly blame that on the rainy days and not being able to tee-tee outside. Otherwise, I haven't gone #1 or #2 in my crate!
Oh, that's another thing- my crate. During the day, I hang out in my kennel with a bed, a toy, and some water. I do just fine. Sometimes at night, I can get a little nervous and want some attention but I usually calm right back down and go to sleep.
I currently have 4 dog foster siblings. 3 brothers and 1 sister. They like me and I like them! They are all older dogs, too. My energy level of wanting to play and hang out doesn't bother them! I don't know how I am around cats but I have hunch Ill like them! Also, kids- I bet Ill like them, too but I haven't met any yet!
My foster dads think with some training, Id be even more of a Good Boy, maybe in the GOODEST! I like to greet you with a jump on your lap and lots of licks. I'm learning to have good boundaries like asking to get on the couch and not jumping because IM JUST SO EXCITED! I'm learning my name quickly, too. I like the leash! When my dads get out the leash, I know I'm going for a walk or a car ride! I have a feeling Ill enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, being outside, chasing some Zzzs, and hanging out with YOU.
I have something to tell you, though. I am heartworm positive, per what the lady with DVM after her name says. She was very nice and told me that with my treatment, I will be good as new. Please don't scroll past me just because of my heartworms, though. Angel Fund OKC and my foster dads have taken really good care of me. My treatment is working and in a few months, Ill be negative for those pesky pests. AND, good news, when you choose me, Angel Fund gives you the rest of my meds for the duration of my treatment. You wont pay any extra as long as you follow my treatment plan which is very easy! I just need to get tested after you take me home and get lots of rest. Also, since I'm the goodest boy, Ill tell you a secret- I'm still safe to be around other pets since heartworms are not transmittable from dog to dog!
See, I think I've laid out my case why I think Id make you a great pet! Between my fat head, sweet demeanor, and my goodest boy breed, you and I would make a good pair. I've been looking for you since I landed on the streets in the spring of 2026.
