Meet Pebbles, aka Piggy! This little survivor is ready to find her forever family!
Pebbles is an approximately 6 month old Boston Terrier / American Pit Bull Terrier Mix weighing around 20 pounds. She is currently in foster care with Fort Worth Abandoned Animal Alliance and is looking for her forever home in the DFW area.
Pebbles story is one of strength and second chances. She was found dumped at a local park by a shelter employee on her lunch break and later arrived at a local shelter on the urgent rescue list. She was suffering from a severe case of widespread Demodex mange, skin infections, ticks, and even a painful sunburn. She was so weak and lethargic that we werent sure she would make it.
Thanks to incredible donations and the support of our rescue community, Pebbles received the medical care she desperately needed. Today, she is healthy, happy, and her beautiful fur is growing back quickly!
Now this sweet girl is ready for the next chapter.
Pebbles is:
Great with other dogs
Good with cats
Wonderful with kids
A total people-lover
Great in the car
Crate trained and does wonderfully in her crate
Doing great with potty training when kept on a routine
Learning how to walk on a leash
A professional hug-giver and cuddle expert
She is still learning how to be a puppy, so she has playful puppy energy and can get a little vocal when playing with her dog friends. She would love a home with another friendly dog to help her continue building confidence and having fun.
Pebbles has a spay appointment scheduled for the third week of August and is currently available for preadoption.
If youre looking for a sweet, resilient, affectionate rescue dog who loves hugs and has overcome so much, Pebbles may be your perfect match.
