Meet Beans and Toast!
These two male Terrier mix puppies are scheduled to arrive on transport to the NYC/NJ area on 5/15 and are in need of a foster home together. Puppies must be fostered in a minimum of pairs to support proper social development. However, littermates are not adopted together due to the risk of developing littermate syndrome.
We partner with overcrowded shelters across the country to bring animals into foster homes in the Northeast, where they can decompress and find their forever families.
What does it mean to foster?
The most important responsibility is providing a safe, loving home. We'll guide you through everything you need to know, including quarantine, basic care, and safety protocols. Our Foster Handbook and dedicated mentors are there to support you every step of the way.
What do you need?
Depending on the animals, you may need supplies like a crate, puppy pads, or food and water bowls-but don't worry, we have a large foster network that helps share resources! Louie's Legacy covers all approved medical care, including vetting and spay/neuter.
By fostering, YOU are making a difference. Every foster opens the door to saving another life.
