Meet Hooch ❤️

Hooch's story hasn't been an easy one. He came from an animal control seizure involving severe neglect, where he and several other dogs were found emaciated and being used for breeding. Despite everything he's been through, Hooch has remained nothing but gentle, loving, and trusting.

Many of the dogs from the case were thankfully able to find homes through DeKalb Humane Society, and the team at Shadarobah also worked incredibly hard trying to help Hooch find his perfect match. When luck wasn't on his side, he was transferred to DeKalb Humane Society so more people could get the chance to see this amazing boy.

And honestly? Whoever adopts him is going to be so lucky.

Hooch is blind, but he doesn't let that stop him from loving life or loving people. He is incredibly sweet, wonderful with other dogs, and absolutely adores human attention. We believe he would likely do well with cats too, though because of his blindness we can't say for certain. What we can say is that Hooch has the gentlest soul and wouldn't hurt a fly.

He's looking for a patient, loving home willing to help him navigate the world safely while showing him what it truly means to be cherished. After everything he's endured, Hooch deserves a soft place to land.
