Meet Kitt - The Brave Little Soul Learning That the World Can Be Kind
Some dogs are born confident. Kitt chooses courage every single day.
This sweet, gentle girl may be shy when you first meet her, but don't mistake her quiet nature for a lack of love. Beneath her cautious exterior is an affectionate, loyal companion who's learning that people can be trusted and new experiences can be wonderful.
Every day, Kitt becomes a little braver. Every day, she takes another step forward. Watching her confidence grow is one of the most rewarding things about knowing her.
Kitt Loves:
-Cuddling
-Being carried
-Playing with other dogs
-Playing with toys
-Chewing bones
-Watching TV with her people
-Quiet walks
-Napping
-Relaxing with her family
Kitt's Favorite Thing:
Being close to the people she trusts.
Once Kitt feels safe, she becomes a wonderful Velcro dog who loves quietly staying by your side. She doesn't need to be the center of attention-she simply wants to know she's loved.
A Courageous Heart:
Kitt may be nervous in new situations, especially around men or loud noises, but what makes her so special is her willingness to keep trying.
Her foster says Kitt is the kind of dog who will attempt new things even when she's scared. With patience, routine, and encouragement, she continues building confidence every day. She may take things slowly, but she never gives up.
She is especially hesitant around men and may shut down if approached too quickly. She'll thrive with a patient family who understands that trust isn't rushed-it is earned.
One of her foster's favorite memories happened during an evening walk after sunset. Kitt became completely fascinated with the fireflies dancing through the yard and spent the evening happily chasing them, convinced they might make the perfect snack. It was a wonderful glimpse of the playful puppy hidden beneath her shy exterior.
