DESCRIPTION
Monterey / M / 7 months / 16lbs / Pug terrier mix / Fostered in Owen Sound
Monterey, aka Monty, is one of the sweetest, most affectionate boys you'll ever meet. He's shy when he first meets you, but once he warms up, he is ALL cuddles — and he will follow you absolutely everywhere.
He loves chilling on the sofa, destroying his toys (and the occasional sock), and going on short walks — rain or shine. He's calm in the car, great with other dogs, and barely bats an eye at cats, squirrels, or birds. He has no separation anxiety and is totally relaxed when you come and go.
He's currently working on his crate training, leash manners, and basic commands, and is making great progress! He gets 4 walks a day and loves playtime indoors too.
Monty needs a quiet home with a fenced in yard. He is very nervous of loud noises so a low traffic neighbourhood is best. He is looking for a family with patience, who will give him time to come out of his shell and build his confidence and who has experience with nervous dogs. He would enjoy another dog friend but could also be an only dog. He hasn't been cat tested but would likely be fine. Kids 12+. He loves to cuddle in bed and on the sofa, so bonus points if you're a fan of that too.
