Meet Elden — a 1-year-old pit mix weighing just 19 pounds (DNA test pending), and possibly the tiniest grown pittie you’ll ever meet.

When Elden was found inside a Detroit garbage can, he was alone, scared, and trying to survive. As he’s settled into rescue life, we believe much of his early life may have been spent confined to a crate — he’s still working through urine staining.

But somehow… this little dog chose love anyway.

Today, Elden is blossoming into the sweetest, most affectionate little shadow you could imagine. Treats help him feel less shy, and every day he learns a little more that the world isn’t scary.

His biggest secret?
He LOVES other dogs — and he truly needs a confident dog sibling in his forever home. Other dogs help him feel brave and show him how to just be a dog.

He’s still learning potty training but is crate trained, knows basic commands, and wants nothing more than to make his people proud.
