Terrier and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

PIPPA

Terrier, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Elk Grove Village, Illinois
April 5th
female, small, baby

DESCRIPTION

Pippa recently came to AHF as an owner give up through no fault of her own. She is approximately 5 months old and appears to be a terrier/chihuahua mix with terrifically big ears! She is a sweet, gentle, and lovable 5 pound puppy! With all of the changes she is a bit timid and trembles a bit, but once she is in your arms she snuggles right in. She is inquisitive and plays well with the foster’s dogs. Since she is so young, she does piddle a bit when happy or excited. She will need to be housebroken and/or puppy pad trained. She will most likely be a tiny lady, so no very small young children. She will need her vaccine boosters and a spay at six months. She will be on a 2 week hold to make sure she is good to go, but we will be taking applications for her. As she is a very young and small puppy, she will need to be in a crate or pen while alone for her safety and her family should only leave her alone for 4 hour periods at a time. She is a "Pay it Forward" puppy, so she can help fund the care of our other adoptable dogs.
The adoption fee is $705 which includes deworming, microchipping, 3 sets of puppy shots, rabies and neuter when old enough. After his/her neuter, you will get a $55 refund.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
